Detailed Answer – Are brick homes more expensive to build?

Within the United Kingdom it is safe to say that brick built homes are no more expensive to build than other more trendy modern building methods.

With clay being a natural resource and brick laying being a valued skill. The costs when building using bricks is often on par if not less than other more modern building methods.

When looking at building a property the greatest cost is in the Land and the ground works. Finding skilled tradesmen for more modern and cutting edge building methods can be difficult and costly due to the lack of knowledge and skill in those new areas.

Whilst bricks can be both cheap and expensive the cost to lay them will still be the same. With this being said, budgets can usually be met whatever the requirement.

Our top tip!
