Established in the USA as a family chain over half a century ago, TGI is famed for its Jack Daniels Ribs and all round casual dining experience.
TGI Fridays is now a household name here in the UK. Our Old Bayswater blend brick slips have become a staple product used by the brand. Brick slips have helped to create the chains distinctive and welcoming look.
Having our products in place as a common feature within the chains many restaurants is a testament to the universal appeal that they create.
The use of brick slips is consistent and helps the designers establish a laid back, casual and relaxing theme throughout.
Design
This great restaurant has been designed around the vivid and colourful theme of popular culture and music.
The floor space itself offers spacious seating and many boothed areas for private dining.
A sectioned New York Cab adds fun and vibrance to the design and contrasts perfectly with the exposed brick work behind.
The whole design offers up a fun space to dine and a change in environment from the hustle and bustle of the shopping mall it sits in.
The finishes were chosen to reflect the relaxed and “ finish work on Friday” feel.
The exposed brick work, custom joinery and fun lighting aim to keep the space usable for many years to come.
Product – Olde Bayswater Blend Brick Slips
The designers of TGI Fridays chose the Olde Bayswater Brick slips.
The Olde Bayswater has a rich and worn solid red clay base.
Like reclaimed and handmade bricks these slips are full of character and can vary substantially in both colour and texture.
This project saw the installers use a rapid set tile adhesive to fix the brick slips to the wall surface.
Pointing was achieved using our Light grey gun injected mortar.
On projects such as this it is always advisable that gun injected mortar is used for speed and appearance
Result
Vibrant, fun, eclectic and well worth a visit!
Many restaurants can feel plain and unexciting, this TGI Fridays installation feels the exact opposite.
Rich tones and textures, quirky features and a very inviting atmosphere.
We would like to think our Olde Bayswater Blend have contributed handsomely to this great installation.
