One of our favorite installations of our Monsoon Brick slips is Jimmy Piggs Coffee house right here in Doncaster.
If you were to ask any coffee lover in Doncaster where is the best place to grab a coffee then the answer would be the same every time.
Jimmy Piggs coffee house has built a solid reputation within the doncaster area for delivering outstanding coffee, cakes and service. Their commitment to their business and their customers has meant that growth has been inevitable.
Recent Expansion
In 2016 the owners pushed forward with an expansion that would include over a third extra seating, a new kitchen facility and a visitor/disabled toilet.
During the planned expansion the coffee shop was given a major facelift and the use of our Monsoon brick slips were pivotal in creating a cozy modern atmosphere.
The simplicity of the coffee shop décor which boasted rich warm tones would be enhanced by large brick slip feature walls.
Our monsoon brick slips were fantastic in setting the mood and ambience that the shop required and worked harmoniously with the dark wooden floor and interior.
The installation was executed without the use of pointing mortar and instead the designers decided to space the slips at 10mm gaps allowing the dark grey tones of the porcequick rapid set adhesive to break through from behind. The decision not to mortar the slips is one that installers are increasingly growing fond of. The look is abstract but very affective.
Artistic, bold and very versatile the monsoon brick slips are a strong favorite for use within coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
The end result is a credit to the team at “Jimmy Piggs” they have successfully expanded an already bustling business, their incorporation of our monsoon brick slips was a reflection of their quest and commitment for quality. Jimmy Piggs make the best coffee so why not use the best brick slips.
